Terms of Use and Digital-Product Terms

Terms governing this website and purchases from the Canon Consulting Resource Library.

Effective August 21, 2026

Acceptance

By using this website or purchasing a Canon Consulting digital product, you agree to these terms and the policies linked from the applicable checkout. If you purchase for an organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these terms for that organization.

Website information

Website content is provided for general business and educational purposes. It may be changed, corrected, or removed without notice. A website inquiry does not create a consulting relationship, confidentiality obligation, fiduciary duty, or professional-client relationship.

Digital products

Product descriptions identify the files included with each purchase. Delivery is digital after confirmed payment. The purchaser is responsible for providing a valid email address, downloading the files promptly, maintaining a secure copy, and confirming that the selected product is appropriate before purchase.

License

Unless a separate written agreement says otherwise, each product is licensed to one purchasing organization for internal use. The organization may edit and brand internal working copies and share them with employees and contractors who need access for that internal use and are subject to appropriate confidentiality obligations.

The purchaser may not resell, sublicense, publish, distribute, or share the original product outside the licensed organization; place files in a public repository or unrestricted download location; or use the product to create a competing product for sale or distribution. Canon Consulting retains ownership and copyright in the original materials.

Payments, delivery, and refunds

Prices are displayed before checkout and payments are processed by Stripe. Applicable taxes, if any, may be added or calculated during checkout. Product access is delivered only after payment is confirmed. Refund eligibility is governed by the Digital Product Refund Policy and applicable law.

Professional-use notice

Products and website materials are not legal, tax, accounting, cybersecurity, investment, or other regulated professional advice. The purchaser is responsible for reviewing and adapting materials for its industry, contracts, systems, risk tolerance, and applicable law. The Small-Business AI Policy Template requires appropriate legal, privacy, security, insurance, and industry review before adoption.

No warranties

To the extent permitted by law, the website and digital products are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, or error-free operation. Examples, formulas, queries, controls, and templates require purchaser review and adaptation.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Canon Consulting will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or lost-profit damages arising from website use or a digital product. Canon Consulting's aggregate liability relating to a purchased digital product will not exceed the amount paid for that product. Some jurisdictions do not allow particular limitations, so those limitations apply only to the extent permitted.

Acceptable use

You may not interfere with the website, attempt unauthorized access, submit unlawful or malicious content, misuse download links, or use Canon Consulting materials in a way that violates law or another party's rights.

Changes and severability

We may update these terms prospectively. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
